I played this sleepy lady in a recent Dungeons & Dragons game. She's yuan-ti, meaning she has some serpentine qualities while looking relatively human.

Phia is a magical scholar who specializes in spells that have to do with sleeping and dreaming. Not that it does her much good. She can never get enough rest, and walks around in a haze most days. Sometimes her half-waking dreams mix with her latent arcane talent and affect her wider reality, causing unpredictable alterations to the world around her. This happens especially often during times of stress.

She's heavily wizard-coded, but I built her as a college of spirits bard. The subclass has a really neat mechanic where you can channel an archetypal story that's decided by a roll of the dice, and it's perfect for her dreamy weirdness. She's really sweet, and it's a lot of fun to play a character who only knows about half of what's going on at a given time but is eagerly along for the ride!

Another fun thing is that the decorative eye on her hat is normally closed. It opens up like this when she dozes off.
