I wonder how many real life actors had this experience? A lot of people in the early days of cinema had trouble telling reality from fiction. Then again, I may be basing this off of a Three Stooges film I saw, which had a scene where Curly ran into some fans... who promptly started to assault him, not understanding slapstick isn't real!

...of course, now that I think on it, not sure those same kinds of people/fans don't exist today. Ya really shouldn't trust everything you see on a screen.
