My dog had to be put down on July 29th. She was 12, and had had a seizure about a month before, which kickstarted some congestive heart failure. When I moved here from my previous state, I had just gotten her recently for my bday. I had no friends, but I had her. She was with me through the move, through graduating high school, through dropping out of college and dealing with all of my depression and anxiety, and was one of the most quiet, most sweet dogs I ever had/met.
When she was gone, Wulfric and Al invited me over to watch Anime. Necros and Bjorn Dm'd me and kept me upbeat with silly jokes. Yana got in a 3 hour vc with me and we just shot the shit. Armor and Ed regularly checked on me and made sure I was ok, especially at night.
I don't think I would have gotten through losing her nearly as well if it weren't for these lovely friends. I really don't.
