The Panthager is a small, predatory mammal native to the forests of Elysium. While rather diminutive in size, it is extremely ferocious, often attacking creatures larger than itself; in most cases, it does so in defense of its territory.
Its typical prey consists of invertebrates, small rodents, as well as other tidbits it can find in the undergrowth, which it terrorizes with reckless abandon. Those who travel through Elysian forests are advised to be on the lookout for this creature and whenever possible give it a wide birth. If a confrontation is unavoidable, it is best to wait out the threat at an elevated location. While Panthagers are excellent diggers, they are poor climbers.
If neither avoiding nor escaping this creature is an option, the best way to drive it off is through the use of something that will affect its nose. The Panthager has a very sensitive nose and a moderate spraying of bear spray will easily send it running back into the undergrowth.
