Wow, FA gets a piece of art that I actually managed to upload to DA today! Go FA. :P
DeviantART Desc:
This is a picture for Foxofthenight.
I don't know if you could call them anthro or non-anthro, they're somewhere inbetween. I wanted to make my own style of "non-anthros" and this is what I came up with. Not like it hasn't been done before, but I'm happy with the result. They look anthro enough to not call them animals, and non-anthro enough to not call them anthros. I reached a happy medium.
I messed up on Fox's facial marking (the white from the sides of his nose that meets up with his neck/chest fur). Silly me. He's not upset though, he still loves the picture. ^^
This picture was a really messy sketch, and I finally got some decent use out of my light table (...several sketches and an inking later...). This was the final result. The background is a combination of my love of abstract art with interesting color combinations and all the painting I've been doing lately. >>;;
Medium used- Primacolor markers for the orange/red/yellow base on the character. There were Crayola colored pencils used for shading and highlights (who needs prismacolor!? Hah!) and a highlighter for the highlights on Jenir. I used a few Sharpies (mostly in the background, although for a couple little spots on the characters), and more Crayola pencils (Crayola ftw!) on the background. The gray hearts are actually my silver Sharpie at work. I also used a white gel pen for the highlights on the hair.
