Record of Lodoss War was the first anime I bought. Got the DVD boxset...though I think it was just two DVDs, or something like that. I watched the whole series, completely confused as to what was going on, and the ending made no sense.

Later, I learned the anime was based off of the studio's RPG session and it wasn't actually intended to have much of a plot to begin with.

Very strange anime, in a way, but a classic in its own right. Really nice intro music.

The Dreamcast game was awesome too!

I had no goddamned clue wtf Record of Lodoss War was and I saw my friend retweet a cool looking Metroidvania called Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth and played it and had no goddamned clue wtf was going on until learning WAY later that Record of Lodoss War has been a thing for decades.

I remember spending my cafeteria money for the year on buying this series when it came out when I was in college. You do fantastic work, and this is a beautiful piece of art!

I only recently got the Wonder Labyrinth game on Switch.

I still fondly remember fighting through three nights around 2.00 am or so in order to manually record all three movies with my trusty VHS device during a school week.

So cool! I've been getting into this anime and wanting to play that Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth game.

Looks amazing.
One day I'll find a good way to watch this show
