Hello everyone! After preparing and eventually doing the written tests for a job position I'm trying (desperately) to get. I'm now back with a new drawing. I'm so sorry if you had to wait two whole weeks for a new artwork, but there is a really good reason for this. I passed the last week researching how I could improve my shading process. I was realizing that the shadows I was doing for my drawings could be improved and I was looking for good ways to do that with my current skill. I'm probably going to talk more about this in my blog, but basically I used two brushes I've never used before on Krita to make softer and more detailed shadows. I don't know what do you think about it, but in my humble opinion, this new shading process has improved the artwork 200%. It looks absolutely amazing despite of of my lack of experience doing this. I think that from now on this is going to be the new standard for my drawings. I hope you like it as much as I do.
And what can I say about the character I drew this time. I'm not a huge fan of Digimon at all, but randomly I watched some gameplays of the first Digimon World videogame and I realized that some creatures were really cute. Later on I thought that it could be amazing if I tried to draw one of them as a kind of artist challenge. This was a great way to see what I was able to do with a completely different art style and character features to which I wasn't used at all. My most sincere apologies to the big Digimon fans watching this artwork. I'm so sorry if I couldn't catch with accuracy Gabumon's appearance, but I did my best, and I consider this an incredibly amazing final result despite of that.
So, what do you think? Is this Gabumon the cutest one you've ever seen or not? :3 If not, I'm sure it is at least in the top five hehe.

This is impressive as, yet again, you challenged yourself by experimenting on your artistic technique while also doing so with a character that you do not normally draw.

Digimon was a fun series to watch. What I liked about it was how the humans who were partnered with the Digimon did more than just throw a ball and command their chosen monster to do what they wanted to do. I do like Pokemon, but it felt like there was far more friendship between the Digimon with humanity than with Pokemon.
***
Gabumon was an interesting Digimon as, in the original series, he was only one of two who could "Mega Digivolve". I really enjoyed the animations for how the Digimon Digivolved. I also found Matt / Yamato's character interesting as he and Gabumon often found themselves trying a bit too hard to be a big brother figure to more than just T.K.
***
Gabumon was always a modest Digimon. I imagine being in a pamp would make him blush a lot if he were to be caught like this by any of his friends.
