Now that the weather was cooling down and orange leaves were falling from trees, fall was officially underway. But, even with a change of seasons, school work was being just as tough as always and our younger trio has decided to spend a weekend afternoon away from textbooks and instead enjoy a nice friendly picnic.

Not wanting to tempt fate, Shinx managed to convince his elastic friends to each take a special pill that forced them to release most of the gas stored in their bodies (courtesy of Lucario). This would hopefully ensure Buizel and Riolu didn't suddenly lose control of their elastic abilities and spontaneously balloon.

As it turns out, the pills were super effective to the point that, after locking themselves in their rooms and taking the pills, both Buizel and Riolu quickly found themselves swelling out of control with parts of their ballooned frames squishing through the frames of their closed doors... to Shinx's immediate concern as he tried to prepare a picnic basket.

Luckily, what emerged shortly after was a normal-sized Buizel and Riolu... albeit both clearly dazed with a distinct rubber-like sheen from overstretching their bodies. This was normal and both the sheen and added stretchiness would fade in a few hours.

After shaking away the dizziness, Shinx, Riolu, and Buizel left their apartment and settled on a grassy hill in a nearby park ... ... ...

... But just as they were about to unpack their basket, a distant noise caught their attention...

I've been enjoying drawing the young trio together of late in mostly normal situations. Also tried messing around some more with perspective to hopefully build the atmosphere.
