That's actually not too bad of a coil gun design to be completely honest. I've seen more crude ones designed and video's of some that almost look like that, so very nice job.

yeah it's pretty much projectiles coming from the top plastic tube and getting shot through the coils powered by capacitors which get powered by the battery. Basic, crude, effective. Though i will admit i tried to make it hydraulically movable at first, you can see the cylinders there, but didn't want to draw the pumps and such and just made it a "hydraulic spring" or whatever. He can adjust it with his body so there is actually no reason for adjustment like that anyway. Also it should have three points of support instead of two. The way it is now, the weapon swinging from side to side can apply too much force and bend the holder.

Something like two hydraulic actuators in the chamber area (one for lowering the ammo and one for pushing the ammo into the chamber) could have worked pretty good. But as it is, it looks great to me.
