Rather than bringing a Pokémon to the edge of unconsciousness before trying to catch them you can try to befriend them! Usually this is done with berries but for such a valuable high level predator like this muck it’s definitely worth feeding them your entire low level team in the hopes that they will let you capture them after receiving such a generous meal.
