Rebel Normal Carrier 01

Image 1 of 3, and part 1 of 4 of an Art dump. Probably the largest i've done so far, or atleast in a long time.
Ok, you'll see that i've re-used the body of the 'Normal' carrier in the up coming Destroyer and Missile Boat. Only because i am really happy with the layout of the ships.
Ok, time for the technical stuff.
There are 5 better known Rebel 'normal' Carriers, The White Horse, What's Yours is Ours, The Dark Night, Big Girl, and The Who's Got My Back. Four of Five are used as escorts or companion ships to the Rebel Super Carrier Jack of Trades. Each Carrier is realitively unarmed relying on being paired with Destoryers and its own jets and fighter craft to defend itself. Should a 'normal' carrier come under fire they will slip into hyper space or if the captain has had a relatively bad day, order all its figher crafts to attack the attacking ship.
In desperate times the front of the ship can be used to ram an enemy ship in the last ditch effort to cripple the enemy ship, or to atleast take them down with the Carrier. Captians of the Carriers are currently petitioning to complain about the lack of defensive and offensive weapons of thier crafts in hopes of a refit of all carriers.
Fun Fact: Normal Carriers, Destroyers, and Missile Boats have a hangar/bay beneath the ship and near the rear for cargo ships and personal craft. The Normal Carriers only have one as well as the Destoryers where as Missile boats have 3.
Also it takes 5 Carriers, or Two Carriers, Two Destroyers, and One Missile Boat, to equal the Length of the Jack of Trades Super Carrier.
At the end of the Art dump you'll see the Jack, 4 Carriers, 2 Destoryers, and 3 Missile Boats in formation, because i was bored. You will also see in some views parts of other space crafts due to me screen shotting each individual ship type after I compiled them all into a single 10,800+kb Sketchup File. My Biggest image so far!

Heh, and of course, it would have all those fighter launch bays... what about that fork-thing at the front though?

Originally planned the 'fork' part to be a device to crush disabled ships, but then decided that it'd just act as a big can opener should the captain ever have to use his ship like a battering ram.
