Almost done!
As you can see the Missile Boat is much better in its defensive aspects than the Carrier, completely lacks as a whole any hangars dedicated to fighter crafts, and sports missile bays that will eject a pod that will track a distance from the ship, then open up and unleash a hail storm of missiles from within the pod. Forgot the exact number of these bays, but there's enough there to lay seige to, and destroy, most stations that are only equiped to defense against light attacks and a few missiles. Like the Destroyer the Missile Boat has 2 MAC's and the Mini MAC that fires a EMP round.
The use of the EMP mini MAC is often used to make the ship 'dead in the water' then lay a barrage on it while its defenseless with missiles, or a one-two punch of a EMP round, then gutting the enemy ship with one of the twin MAC's. Again, like the Carrier and Destroyer the Missile Boat has a 2 tier bridge and has a 'hidden' hangar/bay area for shuttle craft, cargo ships, and personal crafts belonging to the captain and crew, however instead of 1 there are 3.
There are 3 known Missile Boats that are used to escort and defend the Rebel Super Carrier 'Jack of Trades' at all times, they are currently unnamed and are refered to by the name of their captains. The names for each Missile Boat are still being argued over amongst captain and crew, and the Rebel Leader himself playing peace keeper amongst the crews to ensure everyone gets a fair chance at naming their ship.
I realized I failed to list the names of the Destroyers, but i'll rename/list all of the Crafts names in the Final image i post up showing the jack and its escorts all in formation.
Nothing else i can think of to point out.

Enjoy~

It may be over complicated or simply overkill, but my personal belief is that there's no such thing as overkill. The higher chance you have of incapacitating an enemy the less men belonging to you that are sent to their deaths.
I think tactical. If you ignore the smaller enemy you'll be brought down by David vs the Goliath.
Not to mention that the canister itself is also a viable 'mine' or perfect 'decoy'.
But yes, having many missiles rather than one big one makes it harder to knock them all out of the air like you could a big one. Its one of the hidden purpose's behind the micro missiles being used in overwhelming numbers. Enemy Defense's would be forced to try and take them out while they're still enroute from the mother ship while still in the canister rather than after they've left the canister and have scattered.
But my personal favorite tactic would be hit the enemy ship with the Mini MAC's EMP round, then take my precious time while the enemy ship is dead in the water to position each pod how i want it then have them unleash themselves upon the target. Though shock & awe is always a good tactic in its own right.
And agreeed on the EMP strike. Even one in a none-vital part of ship opens a hole in Interception defense, and soon you've got a hole that will bring you down.
Its why in Homeworld you'd find a Destroyers drawing fire when my 4 Missile destroyers would be above bringing the 'rain'.
And another good part of a canister delivery system is that if the main fire system fails You have a large high explosive missile itself. Many benfits to missile based distractions as well. IT also provides while said main systems are trying to defend against a swarm. Your main battle ships, and heavy fire ships are given a chance to line up, and use the MAC's, and other capital class weapons.
Am am over comfortable with, cripple them and outright destroy them after letting them wallow in the fact their about to die in a ball of fire and debris.
Not familiar with that game(?), but my luck it probably PC and none of my 3 Machines does well with PC games short of C&C Generals/Zero Hour, Starcraft/Broodwar, or Halo: Combat Evolved.
I like canister delivered explosives, the enemy just see's a canister hurtling towards them, they just don't know what they're about to get hit with. The MAC's on the Missile boat won't cause as much Damage as the MAC's on the Jack would but they'd still gut a ship their size from front to back. I blame Halo for my over usage of MAC's, so far the only other 'super weapon' i've utilized was a Wave Motion Gun on the Aegis Super Carrier that flies under the GFA flag.
And homeworld is a old space based RTS. Your computer can handle it cause its about 8 years old. And I live on C&C. *Grins* I'm still wanting to play SC2, and Haven't played beyond Halo2....
I like MAC's but I knew of them long before anyone knew about them in Halo. I like the old fashion sense that even in the future... Not much can stop a super massive slug thrown at near slip or warp space speeds. BUt I also enjoy the heavy powered fusion weapons or accelerated magnetic weapons. Harlock saga, Ezmeralda, and Macross.
Ah, well that's good i guess. I love playing China Nuke on C&C: Generals: Zero Hour. But I will play GLA Stealth if i get bored. As for Halo, played Combat Evolved and Halo 2, played the first 3 parts on a friends 360 and realized I am extremely rusty. Currently re-reading Halo: The Cole Protocol. Hoping to snag Halo: Contact Harvest if i have any extra money after Xmas rolls through.
Never heard of those 3, Halo since i first got my Hands on the PC version for Combat Evolved has pretty much left me having emersed myself within that universe. I love the Halo universe even though there are some dark parts of it, Especially the starting parts of the Human/Covenant War. Up until, hell, i still am big on Halo hoping to Snag a 360, Halo 3, ODST, and Reach during Xmas then get the Contact Harvest book. May eventually get Halo Wars, but for some reason making halo into an RTS seemed a pretty strange thing to do.
I've been wanting to get the Halo books for a while.
Old school Anime goodness. I loved them when I was a kid. And Space; Above and Beyond is a great underrated Sci-fi serise about what the future of Earth space fighting maybe the end of this Century.
I have "Fall of Reach" and "The Cole Protocol". If anything i 'think' "Contact Harvest" is technically, atleast cronologically, the first book one would have to pick up to get a feel for the series.
Haven't seen many 'old school animes'. Then again Rouruni Kenshin was one of my more favorites when i was much younger along with Tenchi Muyo, used to wish i had that energy sword thing he had.
Cools. I really do want to read them.
Oh Kenshin.. One of my fvoarites.. Omg I love it so much. I wanted that one so much for my collection. Tenchi is awesome, and YuYu Hacsho?
Yu-Yu Hakusho was a good series for what i saw of it. But as far as new(ish) anime's go I like Soul Eater and Shaman King. Probably some of my favorite anime's short of the really new stuff that's come out in the US. But I try to like Naruto Shippuden, sometimes it just is meh.
I don't like Naruto... much cause it seems so many idiots think its the GREATEST thing ever. I love my Gundam. I have to catch it weekly.
I was a naru-tard for the longest, still have an OC for the show but don't follow the anime or manga like i used to anymore. After college blocked the manga sites i lost interest in Naruto and Bleach.
So yeah, its going to look pretty horrible.
