Emi has always been self-conscious about her freckled face and buck teeth, especially after years of being teased by her sisters. Hence why she wears a frightening mask to emulate her title as the "Smiling Devil". But on some occasions, her straps tend to loosen of her mask is ripped off, revealing her "horrible face".
