By th way, is it as bad down there as it is in America this time of year? We're lucky if there's even a single store that doesn't have a massive Christmas display by the beginning of September over here. "Tis the season (to go into debt up to your balls)."

Most of the stores here do that too. WalMarts here have them up year round, just subdued. I remember overhearing peple working at the local K-Mart about how the store manager got chewed out by customers because they were waiting until October to put out the stuff, so now they start in early September.
