This was done as a birthday present for my good friend 
Kirydos Having recently gotten his pilot's license he took me flying several times when I last went out to visit him, and it was a tremendous amount of fun. So between his mastery of the air and being a finny waterdragon most at home in warm tropical seas, a float plane like this is really rather ideal for him. Sadly, buying him one is a bit out of my ability, so I drew him one instead.

Yeah, seriously. Normal commercial flying is a big giant social experiment in just how much discomfort and indignity you're willing to subject yourself to in the name of travel... flying with Kiry in a small Cessna on the other hand really felt like the kind of freedom that flying is SUPPOSED to be like.
One day we flew to an island and landed there and ate lunch at this tiny little island mountaintop airport just because we could AND IT WAS AWESOME. ^..^
Really glad you like the piccie! Kiry's coloration is very very pretty, and yeah that warm tropical sun always has to make nice golden highlights like that. ^^
