I made Terror who is a triwinged gryphon (homage to how the Fokker DR1 has 3 sets of wings) quite literally after Sabaton's Great War dropped. A lot of people made the connection which is awesome. Part of the reason I use them is to allow for learning. The Iron Cross was undoubtedly adapted by horrible people in the 1930s-1940s. Teaching history and looking amazing is why I'm glad I continue to get art of them.
Quick info from historian derg from Europe
Iron Cross is not a nazi symbol. Yes media use it as censorship for Hakenkreuz, but the symbol itself dates to around 1300s, first used by Teutonic Order, later as military order in Prussia and united Germany. It still is serving as symbol of honor and military in Germany, check out for example how "Bundeswehr Logo" looks like, current military of DEMOCRATIC Germany.

This kind of cross you can look up easily. It looks very similar to the Hindu Swastika but is still different. For comparing it, take a look here: https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/.....53759.257.jpeg
You see the difference right away; Swastika lays flat while the evil cross stays on it's edge, also there are 4 dots in the Swastika that the evil cross dosen't have.
And with that you also see right away that they are absolutely different to the cross you see in this art :)
