I just watched this for the first time ever about two weeks ago! Amazing timing.

Night on the Galactic Railroad is one of the best furry movies ever. You can appreciate it as a kid and as an adult in a whole new way. Plus it has some very cute cat characters~

I wish Life of Guskou Budori was just as good but the reboot is just...weaker than this movie. Can't really explain without giving spoilers but for fans of Night on the Galactic Railroad I can still recommend it even if just for more cats xD.

Without spoiling, this movie takes a turn I won't forget, put it that way. I can see why the story means so much to Japan given its history, and this and Pom Poko are probably the best dang 'talking animal' anime movies out of Japan I've seen.
