This is my me, as much a part of me as Wolf is. Initially, before I gained my wings and feathers and became the WindSeeker you know today, I was just a regular bluish white Wolf.
Then, this Pheonix, came and merged itself with me in a powerful dream some years ago. I have never ever drawn it, and for a doodle, this pic is very special to me.
I know most Pheonix are shown as fiery red, but this blue/white is my color, the color that represents Me. The color of my Soul I think.

ethereal it is, and should be!
phoenixes are the most unknown and fabulous fantasy species. hell, even the dragons have been studied.
one can ony speculate on their origin and how they look.
so its a common tradition to draw them 'all mystical and majestic', shading the parts to blend with the background.
even in the 'cronicles of narnia' you cannot get a good view of them. the only thing known is that they have _a_lot_ of feathers, to the point of beeing unbelievable. and that they are not bound to a single plane, thus are not entirely made out of a single plane's matter.
further speculation on the incredible way they are reborn suggests that they have a connection with the plane of water. there's no life in fire... like a rage, it leads to nothing but emptyness inside. it is the water that fertilizes the ashed remains of a phoenix and gives birth to new one. it is the water that keeps the phoenixes in their 'normal' shape. the water is the source of life.
to me this is like the other side of a phoenix. the 'constructive', rather then the 'destructive' nature of this specie.
the 'out of this world' hood(the thing on the back of the neck), the fuzzy unceirtain shapes, huge wings featuring really long curved feathers and a tail that kind of endless, meaning it ends in another dimension is _EXACTLY_ how i visualized 'the real nature of a phoenix'
