To some extent they can be called partners. Although Road is a loner and she was initially against his interference in her life. But she got used to him after Andras's long attempts to impose her help and company. They have a working relationship for the most part. And a bit of sex to relax. (By the way, Road is aromantiс).
This lady is a private detective and takes part in police investigations that have non-standard (otherworldly) nature. Andras is a deity from another world. Creatures like him are called "da'emons" in my setting. He is a Great Marquis and ruler of vast lands. He is a trickster by nature and deity of discord. He calls himself "a helper in endless calamities."
