Maria hops out of her ball and after looking around a bit and seeing the full moon turns and waves at me. It’s an interesting enough gesture since I know it’s not a behavior she ever does with him. I wave back, somewhat surprised that I have enough control to do so this early in the transformation. My feet haven’t even fully changed yet and that’s usually one of the first things. I don’t know how much of it is a matter of him reading my intentions and doing them for me or if it’s a case of him willingly ceding control in this particular case. As my first tail starts to grow in I reflect that we are in a somewhat precarious position as it is and I’ll have to be especially careful for a while. I haven’t done anything to really risk our safety, but there is still the fact that he’s currently a bit too high-profile himself that we couldn’t simply vanish to another town without drawing suspicion, and if sightings of me start showing up where he does, then only a fool wouldn’t be able to put two and two together then. So I have to remember to be extra careful to not draw attention.
