Lisa is made with custom printed minky, and custom dyed minky; there is a tiny magnet on the lone strand of hair on the top of the head to place Lisa’s halo. The plush lays 10 inches from the tip of the nose to the back tips of the back legs. The face is machine embroidered. The halo is removable.
Here’s the last pony of the batch! :) Funny enough, all 3 last ponies required custom printed minky. All the fabric on this plush, minus the fabric for the hair is printed.
I decide to make the feathering on the legs… 3D? or least give them more dimension. :) This is one of the small handful of pony plushies that have this detailing, only because its a bit difficult to plan out and to anchor. ^^; But I think it was well worth the time to put into the detailing! Definitely still need more practice, though the results were pretty close to what I was going for!
The mane and tail… oh boy. Brown is my mortal enemy. :’) Both colors are custom dyed. The ORIGINAL design was supposed to be appliqued, but the darker brown was too dark and the lighter brown was too light. Aaaaand, the applique looked terrible to be honest! ^^;
The colors were redyed and changed to be colorblocked the second time. Funny enough, the mane and tail were dyed AGAIN after they were assembled (too light x. x )
In the end, I like to believe I made the right choice, though I wish I could have added more of the smaller streaks to the mane and tail.
In a very last second decision, I decided to also make Lisa’s little halo since I had some scrap fabric and spare magnets laying around. :)
Another sweet little pony made and ready to go to their forever home! ^u ^
