Jackie was born in Texas.
He showed a love of baseball from a young age joining his first team when he was only six.
Over the years he excelled in the sport, winning multiple awards, but he was also a friend you could hang with between games.
His high school had their first undefeated season with him, he led Texas Tech to a dominating four straight National Championships before heading into the MLB.
He was selected in the First Round by the Chicago Cubs, traded in AAA to the Rangers organization a year later, and is now helping the Texas Rangers seek their first World Series.
