Lay ''Stuck in the Swamp'' [Paint 3D Artwork]
🎍 After Cloud and I took another trip in the Mud Monster -- the slide where we ride a small cart down a wooden track held up by poles -- and went down one of the hills of the slide, I managed to slip out of the cart and fall down to the ground. Fortunately, the area is littered with gooey marshlands, so after I dove down holding my paws in front of me in a V-pattern, I SPLASHED down and crashed into the swamp below! Cloud, who is still inside the cart, is quite shocked of course, and after he makes his final landing inside the other mud pool at the end of the wooden slide, he doesn't even bother to pull the cart out of the mud and onto dry land, but instead runs straight to the place where I had disappeared. I meanwhile, am holding my breath, but I don't know for how long I can hold it before I suffocate. ''...Lay?! Buddy?'', I hear Cloud's voice echoing over the dark grasslands surrounding the marsh. The voice steadily grows louder, until I suddenly feel my fellow canine friend pulling me out of the thick layer of dirt by my hind legs. ~PLOP!~ and a second later, I land on my diapered butt, which is covered in brown filth, but not AS covered in filth as my head, stomach and forepaws. Now that I am lying on the edge of the marsh, I turn my head around and give Cloud, who is still in his wolf form, a scared yet thankful look. ''Whoa, dude!'', says Cloud, ''wh- ...what happened, bro? Ya' slipped? Didn't break anything?'' I shake myself dry, then put my left paw on Cloud's right one: ''COUGH! D-Dude...! F-Fanks for helping me out! I was so fortunate to receive a padded landing in the marsh!'' ''Well... looks like you almost suffocated right there, man!'', is Cloud's shocked reply, ''...Are you OK?'' I look around me, confused. The empty coaster train sits motionless on top of its wooden tracks, its front cart shaped like the head of a Chinese dragon -- its end shaped like the tail of one. Partially covering the rickety coaster constructions is the big, imposing carousel, which because of the dark-blue sky, is only visible as an unidentifiable silhouette. ''S-So...'', I shyly ask, still shivering from the shock of the experience, ''t-thanks again for... s-saving me after that fall! <HUFF...!> Now what shall we do next?'' As I ask that question, wolf Cloud is already roaming about on the tiled square in front of us, which houses several colorful carnival booths, but the majority of them has either collapsed and consists of just the remaining iron poles with the tent sheet in-between them; or is still standing, but contains nothing more than a lone pyramid of tiny tin cans, probably used back in the day as a little game of ball-throwing to win prizes. ''I... I fink Imma' clean myself after that incident at the swamp'', I murmurr as I walk after Cloud. ''Oh! Lay, look at that thing right there!'', Cloud suddenly shouts back to me, as he approaches one of the booths across the tiled street. Inside it rests an old-looking, ragged doll with round eyes and scarily real-looking lips. ''Now THAT, is freaking awesome!'', Cloud continues as he starts leaning on the wooden counter using his front paws. I look at it, and... I almost wet my diaper when I notice the eyes of the thing, which were visible just fine a couple seconds ago, but now appear to just be two white, glass spheres, stuffed inside the face of the doll. With a scared look, I turn away, and continue on my search for less unsettling souvenirs here at the carnival booth lane. ''This thing...'', admits Cloud, ''...DOES indeed look just a ~LITTLE~ more creepy than I'd hoped... Lay! Wait for me!... ... .....'' Cloud too, turns away from the toy to go after me. Just then, while none of us is watching... ...the eyes of the doll slowly turn back into their old position, with the pupils staring straight-forward once more... then...
...they slooowly start to turn into the very direction we just ran.....
