When someone doesn't obsess over a character/person as a mere fan, nor as an attempt for the person to date them (however realistic or not that may be), but instead obsesses with the idea of BEING the character/person. Either modelling your look/personality/life after them, fantasising about transforming directly into them, or by consuming every piece of media they're in, getting several sequences and stories of becoming the character and getting a game-accurate cosplay and wig set made and getting vocal training to even match the voice right-
