Yup another odd new species. This one human Derived. Originally drew him up a lil while ago and finally got around to finishing his pic. So as with most species I do time for an entry on his species and then some more specific info on Ross himself.
The Mumek are another subspecies of human. Where as the Astrayoe adapted to life in space and lo gravity environments the Humek are adapted to better survive on newly terraformed colony worlds. They have faster healing, and resistance to radiation. Their body plan having been made more simple as a result. Humek have better reflexes then normal humans and have higher tolerances to heat and cold. They currently occupy a dozen colony worlds. Other then this the Humek are not too different from normal humans. They do not possess superior regenerative traits. A lost arm will not grow back though the wound will heal faster. Severed nerves will not regenerate beyond what would normally occur in a human. Culturally they are much like the Astrayoe though they lack the superior intellect naturally held by the Astrayoe. To compensate many receive cybernetic augmentation to increase their cognitive abilities. They are at the forefront of robotics and AI development.
Ross here is a young Humek. Still in schooling. He lost his arm two years ago during a blackout which caused the public transit vehicle to collide with another. He received his cybernetic arm at about that same time. Ross generally is a quite and logical individual and it seems more of a loner. He spends much of his time studying AIs and cybernetics. Ross also suffers from incontinence due to the accident well though he seems to have dealt with this surprising well. When questioned about this he was vague as to his answer. Here Ross is seen examining his cybernetic arm in a Holointerface room. This room is were design work is often done on new model robots and their corresponding AI technologies. Ross Agreed to pose in this manner for us to demonstrate the physical differences between humek and human as seen by his feet and hands and generally lighter and taller frame.
Well hope you guys liked the pic and the story.
