Grinelldrin Dreamglass/NightmareGlass is a Nightmare or Was a Nightmare, something about his voyages threw the dreams of his people over so many centuries has changed him, turned him for the better into something else entirely. To date the Nightmare Steed is closer to a baku. Ethereal, soaring and gjhostly he canters threw his chosen city, entering the dreams of those he encounters visiting them in the shape they would most associate him with. He tries to solve what troubles each dreamer or give them a nudge to ebbing a dream caused by a stressor in reality and aiding them in finding the answer. When he is done, he Consumes the dream giving himself the nourishment needed to continue. He is especially fond of bloody or violent dreams, and dreams full of emotion or intent as they give him the most sustenance. But he does not do anything to cause or inflict dreams to become this way.

He travels the dreams realm, the ethereal plane and sometimes, very rarely the fae wilds. To catch sight of him on the material plane is difficult as he only appears between the chiming of the clock tower bells every night in the clock yard garden to eat the moon flowers there. The flowers themselves are full of spirit energy, they bloom at full dark and fade at first light. They are also called spirit flowers and ghost blossoms. They are harmless, and of no use to the living other than their beauty.
Grinelldrin also appears in the material plane for one hour and a minute between 11:59pm and 1:00am each solstice and equinox or whenever the veil between worlds is made very thin. During this time, he will first munch upon his favorite flowers to give him strength, then gallop around the circumference of his city thrice to ensure no demons or ill will has breached the walls before the veil grows thick and protected again. If they Have, he does battle against them, to push them from the material plane ounce more.
It is believed that Grinelldrin appears every night under the sound of chimes, because it is the easiest time for him to make the crossing into the material plane, and that he does so just to see and enjoy his city as his dreamers do. And also, that the flowers he eats are what give him the strength to return to the garden every following night. Without them, where he be captured some horrid way, and kept on the material plane he would surely grow weaker by the minute.

One of the most wonderful and light-hearted things about Grinelldrin is getting to see him in your dreams. Though he often appears as more of a mundane horse or vaguely spooky horse to more passive dreamers. To children, young adults and those young at heart or passionate in their imagination their dreams will sometimes spin him as his true self, or as a tremendous, majestic unicorn. Grinelldrin knows this and so he favors these people. Sadly, because he consumes their dream shortly after, people rarely awake with any memory of him. Though children especially those that were fond of him or had a Great dream, will retain a love of unicorns. Making a love a unicorns rather prevalent threw the children of his city.
Lastly, though it is rare, especially in the adults beaten by the monotony of mundanity. For any of those brave enough to Ride him in their dreams, be it to complete or get the 'good ending' to their dream, he will leave them with their dream and memory of him fully intact. It is less common in the youngest of children because they are children and to him loving unicorns is good enough. But for those especially spirited and bright children and for the young adults, teens and adults still brazen or willing to put faith in the magic of fantasy and both believe in and Ride the Unicorn, he believes they deserve the right to remember him and the right to keep that light of fantasy brewing in their hearts. <3
