Suddenly a pair of boots stood in front of cozy
A hand cupped her chin and lifted her head
love and sadness looked at her from an older face
"grandpa?", she sobbed, "I thought you left", she clung to his arm.
"I don't think your change is over yet", he laughed, "I came back to congratulate the new matriarch", he pulled her into a bear hug," so congrats kiddo", he tightened his grip with one hand while the other wiped his eyes, "you and rest of the young pack are gonna move in with me so you won't have to go den hunting".
A skeptical face looked at him when he looked up to see his daughter standing beside them.
"dad you live in a two-bedroom apt, there's no way you can fit the pack in there".
slowly john stood his face flushed and his palms sweaty as he tried to hide his face, "I um got a new place and ..girl...mumble mumble". Kayla leaned closer
"What did you say, old man?", her face turned blank as a ditto
John glared with embarrassment as his cheeks began to burn, "I have a girlfriend I'm living with ok?".

"HA", Came a shouting female voice from the upstairs window," GRANDPA'S AN ANCIENT MAN AND HE STILL GETS MORE ACTION THEN THEN THE MEN IN THIS FAMILY", She clung to the window sill as she could hardly breathe from laughing so hard.
John just rubbed his temple sighing under his breath, "don't bother asking who it is Kayla, it's your mother diva".
Kayla's mouth twitched as her eyes blanked out, "YES Kayla I still love your mother but we're only dating at least for now".
"WHY DAD?", She finally blurted out, "JUST...WHY?".
"It was either your mother or your mom friend, who by the way has been hitting on me behind your back ".
"ew", she ran off feeling gross.
"The women in this family are weird".sighed yule
"ha". jock and john mocked, "you ain't seen nothing yet".
