I made this drawing in commemoration of Columbus Day or Hispanic Day, because today marks the 530th anniversary of the discovery of America by the Genoese navigator Christopher Columbus, this marked the beginning of European exploration and colonization through our American continent mainly by Spain.
This would mark the end and beginning of a new era in our history, the meeting and union of two worlds.
This is an event that should unite us Spanish speakers, let us celebrate and feel proud of our roots, whether indigenous or Spanish, that define us as Hispanics, because it unites us more than our language, it unites us with our history and origins.
