A sign of life from me, maybe... Without going into boring details, I had a rather "challenging" summer and while financially it paid off unexpectedly well, it put a damper on all personal activities, art included.

What you can see here is an attempt at a walkcycle. Critiques are welcome but I'm myself aware it has definite errors. Many of them actually coming from trying to make her walk along a path rather than walkcycle itself, but it may be hard to distinguish when just looking. The current state of the project is a bit more advanced already but I don't have proper nice renderings of it. The previews in Blender3D are awesome these days and one can go without any lengthy renders until really late stages of a project, but I like to render it out in full quality (with fur and shading and all) regardless from time to time. It provides some eye candy, an extra motivation to see how it may look in the end.

Well, she is toeing a line, technically. That's what following a path becomes. Making a character turn in a natural way while walking is surprisingly hard. The way feet are being put down on the ground is different from simply walking forward, but it's subtle and difficult to get right.
Maybe the turns she's making here are simply too tight. I intend this whole project to be quite a lot bigger that what's seen here; more of a a proper furry bikini fashion show, inspired by an YT video I found when just looking for walkcycle references. The scene will be increased in scale too and that alone may help.

Thank you! I was staying away from walkcycles so far because of their perceived difficulty. It turns out that just making one is just a beginning. To make the character walk around the way I want is another level of challenge. This preview will have to be significantly overhauled before it becomes final.
Don't ever let yourself get discouraged. You are doing amazing. I love seeing your progress!
I purchased a rendering rig a while back, in anticipation for getting back into 3d modeling, and well, needing to learn newer modern software, and not finding the time to be able to sit down and begin playing with it, I'm excited to see others creations, as it inspires me to get to my own projects, once life settles down some.
