i draw on one layer, so usually i color, do lineart, then shade last. with the crayon tool it was fine because its pretty messy to begin with lmao
when using the calligraphy pen for lineart, i have to color, shade, then do the lineart last

Oof, I used to draw like that first way, I personally recommend lineart on one layer and color on another. I've personally never heard of doing lineart last. Are you familiar with multiply layers? That changed my life with regard to shading.
