Soft Sand

It has been another long, adrenaline-filled day for both Fantasy and Ruffi. The two winged creatures were tuckered out from a day of fighting, pillaging, and looting. Their most recent job involved sniffing out an enemy village while also dealing with a rival fleet at the same time. And then there came the training for new recruits.

Fantasy exhales softly while staring out at the horizon, observing the waves gently lapping against the sand. Such a view promotes a relaxed, calm atmosphere for settling down.

Ruffi joins her seconds later, going on to sit next to the tigress. The pair nestle against each other while relaxed, breathing simultaneously in unison. While Fantasy is resting her head on Ruffi's shoulder, the tigress suddenly comments, "Hey Ruffi, how long has it been since we've had moments like these to ourselves?"

"Not that much. We've been so busy riding the oceans that we've never had a chance to relax and settle down." Ruffi stated, much to his own disappointment. The winged dragon caresses the tigress on her forehead, nuzzling her gently.

Sudden laughter catches Ruffi's attention and it is coming from Fantasy. Keeping his eyes on the tigress, the dragon questions her, "What is so funny all of a sudden?"

Fantasy explains, "Oh nothing, just a sudden memory on an adventure of ours."

"Care to elaborate? I'm all ears." Ruffi requested, grinning eagerly.

"Ruffi, remember that time we attacked that enemy pirate fleet and I was the distraction? You should have seen the chaos!" Fantasy giggled.

"Why should I watch a bunch of lowlife slumlords waste each other over a single woman? That's like mixing Bachelorette with Russian Roulette; the results are slim to impossible! How were you able to make it out of there alive in the first place?"

"I climbed up the mast, silly!" Fantasy raises up and flicks Ruffi's nose in a teasing manner, "Then I dived back down to our ship and watched the resulting destruction unfold."

"Honestly, I'm glad we undertook that mission because of what we found out later on." Ruffi seethed at first, and then relaxed, letting calm energy wash over him. The pair and their crew later found out through investigation that the fleet they destroyed was notorious for black markets, trafficking, and slavery.

Fantasy covers her mouth, sniggering while averting her eyes away and teasingly remarking, "Yeah and also your constant complaining over my safety."

A red cruciform appears on the right side of Ruffi's forehead upon glaring at the tigress in mild annoyance, wondering if he heard what she just said. "Aye, what was that??"

"I'm joking, Ruffi! Lighten up!" Fantasy just stares back at the dragon with a calm, relaxed grin. Then she hugs him while resting her head on his shoulder again, reminding him, "Sometimes you just need some humor every once in a while. You can't always take everything seriously."

Fantasy soon freezes upon a tongue slurping against her cheek, making her become a cherry blossom in the face. Slowly, the tigress raises herself off of Ruffi's shoulder to stare directly into his face while her own is still registered in a state of shock. "Did you just lick me on the cheek?"

Ruffi just giggles at her expression while claiming full responsibility in his own way, explaining, "Yes I did, so what? It means I love ya!"

Hearing this makes Fantasy relax; leaning forward, the tigress rests herself against Ruffi's side while remarking smugly, "You are such a charmer, y'know?"
