There was a few reasons for this one
At first, I sometimes still like to dream of being a big-eared fox, and initially it was going to be a little different art
Second, I've got such a perfect nightdream...what changed the idea of this one
And later there will be more fennec, but red fox also wouldn't be forgot >w<
I think there's no point in telling entire dream(though if someone is interested you could leave a comment)
Briefly, few days ago I had a perfect dream
I was that fennec, small and not remembering my real self, I had a mate, actually a boyfriend sable, we both were younger and close to have our first long snuggles
The thing is that it should have happened in future, a bit later than in days I was in dream
But I knew it will happen, when I'll get that hug which will lead into endless days of snuggles and clotheness
And I waited enough, I've got that day, I had the last thing to finish before I get it
I knew I can do it, in mind I was counting minutes until I can get to boyfriend...and suddenly, I just woke up ;w;
Not even from alarm, just woke up several hours earlier than I usually do
Honestly, I woke up happy
Despite not getting the ending, I still had a perfect dream
But the more time goes, the more not seeing it hurts
And I know I'd prefer to never wake up if I could

Those dreams that are the most beautiful are always the ones that are the shortest, usually by waking up too quickly. I can definitely understand the feeling; a month or two ago I had a wonderful dream where I met my beautiful dog again. She died 4 years ago. In the dream I was giving her so many kisses and she was kissing/licking back, when all of a sudden I opened my eyes and realized I was suddenly wide awake. I hated that the dream ended so soon but I smiled very much that I had the dream at all and was able to see her. I also completely understand your dream to be a fennec. I have a deep desire to be a red fox and unfortunately have never had a dream where I actually was. Or if I have I can't remember it because it was so short the memory was fleeting when I woke up.
