This will date me a bit, but back in HS in the '70s one of my female teachers went with her date to a disco (yes, they really did have those way back then.) Part way through the night they switched the main lighting off and fired up the ultraviolet(black) lights, and her date started to laugh. You see some clothes, hair sprays and make-ups glow differently under ultraviolet, so she looked like she had tried to dress up like a witch with an almost black dress, glowing white hair and a hollowed/sunken face - but what had caused the laugh was when she smiled. You see normal teeth will glow under ultraviolet - but most false teeth will not, adding to the look.

Why yes, they were out partying all hallows eve, she just hadn't planned on getting that dressed up for it ...
