The Gongols are a semi-nomadic people hailing from Eastern Yaztheria. Despite being a single race of people they are culturally split between two main distinct cultures, Northern and Southern Gongol. Northern Gongols are the mongolic inspired population who live in nomadic tent cities and villages, moving around the steppe and hills with their herds and horses. The Southern regions of the Gongol homeland are more similar to Yuan Chinese culture with settled cities and villages while still retaining some of the aesthetic and cultural beliefs and customs of the nomadic Gongols. Both however are the same people and across their steppe homeland the two have mixed with cities and towns on any fertile land available and any mineral rich hills, with the large less fertile open steppes are home to the nomadic population. Normally friendly and honorable, the Gongols want nothing but to see their people continue to thrive and form the best cavalry the Empire has ever seen. Known as "The Scourge of God" the Gongols have come to view themselves as the living embodiment of God's wrath, striking down all who dare oppose peace in the world as a unstoppable horde of steel and horses
The Kharvaach are basically the missile equivalent of the Baatar, being comprised of Gongols better at horse mounted ranged warfare than melee combat. While often using bows and arrows the Kharvaach also has units who use firearms, wheellock or flintlock carbines to be more exact. The ratio is about 70% using bows and arrows and 30% using firearms. Though it is very common for officers of Gongol units to carry at least one wheellock pistol with them, as like the rest of the Empire they have adopted firearms fairly quickly seeing their benefits outweighing the drawbacks. Their main tactic is to ride towards the enemies and perform skirmishing actions, riding into range and unleashing volleys until the enemy gives chase and then retreating further back to try and draw enemy units out of formation. If that does not work they will form circle formations where they all ride in a single circle, unleashing a rain of ranged fire until their either run out of ammunition or are engaged by something fast enough to catch them off guard.
