Okay Doma. I think you need to focus on the ways you can improve the quality of your work. You need to see artwork you love and wish you could do that yourself and then do everything you can to do so. You absolutely must have the attitude that what you've drawn isn't as good as it can be and that you can and will do better the next time. Your lines, shading, style, detailing...These are things you should be furthering to a level where people say "wow, that looks amazing" on top of your concepts and inspiration.
I've seen your work since 5 years ago and I'm telling you that you should be improving drastically by this point. I'm not insulting your work, I feel that your artwork can be so much more if you look at all your flaws and spend the time that you already do on art, on fixing them. You'll be happier with yourself, your work, your confidence and then you will be much more applicable for graphic design.

Thanks for your feedback and good to hear from you since so long XP

:3 Yes, its been a while. Now Doma. I've seen your gallery and I don't see you trying to emulate this picture? Like the shading and the lighting and mixture of colors. I'm telling you, if you try to do it, you're going to fail but the thing is... You are going to learn something from it and you will use that in your next picture and start to perfect it. The more you emulate the art you admire and try to compete with them, the better you are going to get. I promise you, you can make artwork superior to that picture if you do what I said in a very short time, especially for someone who draws so much. Take your time on each picture, make sure every line looks good, make sure everything looks natural, anatomically correct and high quality.
You must have competition.
Heres something to get you started.
For smooth careful lines, take a 1 - 3 pixel brush and zoom WAAAAY in. Make sure you turn the opacity down on your sketch so you can see your new lines clearly. Now you'll want to sketch back and forth in very short quick strokes while slowly bringing out the line following the guidelines of your sketch. Zoom out periodically to make sure it looks good, if not you can just erase the shaky bits to smooth it out.
For blending colors together. Pick a soft brush and go into your brush settings. Turn off shape dynamics and turn on other dynamics. In other dynamics, set both options to pen pressure and 0%, this will let you smoothly add colors depending on how hard you are pressing the pen. Also remember to keep your hand on CTRL, ALT and Z. Hold ALT to bring up the color picker which you will need "A LOT" so you can constantly pick new colors to blend together. CTRL + ALT + Z will be for undo. CTRL will be to move and hold spacebar to drag around the image.

overall its not as much as coloring effects that I try to work with like in the picture, but more my main focus is always on anatomy posing especially in complex angles. Cause usually that is #1 I focus on the most when it comes to art. I worry about lighting effects as second in line cause I am trying to find a perfect mix for brushes and lighting value that best fits my figures cause my style is showing more cartoonism than realism like it originally used to when I was trying back in 2005.
Most bodily correct features I struggle with the most is usually legs sizes, hands, and also muscle definition. Leg sizes I know is usually because of canvas sizes since I draw too big almost all the time XP Hands and Muscle I am getting some advice on right now from those who master it completely.
For the record, is it Photoshop you are referring to in the color blending advice? Also what pixel resolution do you use usually for this technique?
Also so you know what programs I use, I use Art Rage for sketching and Inking while I use Photoshop for coloring and touching up the outlines.

Yes I use photoshop. If you are mainly focused on anatomy then you need to be studying it. There are tons of books and online tutorials showing you the method for creating a body along with the sizes in relation to the rest of the body. I have noticed your problem with hands but you're in luck, cause you have two of them right in front of you while you draw. Look at your hands, do the same pose, draw it or consult it for how it should look. Buy how to draw books and follow along page by page, I'm telling you its worth it.
