At long long LONG last, I finally have a proper ref for Skögul!
Even made a-few alternates for different outfits she's got, but just putting up the base here ^^;
Continuing with what I did earlier with Proteanne, gonna try to put more details here about who Skögul is...
Name : Skögul Stege
Species : Mightyena (but with some Ninetales from her father's side which explains the 3 tails)
Type : Dark
Size : 13' (but able to temporarily grow far larger)
Personality : Very confident and sure of herself. Filled with the ambition to push herself to learn more and be stronger. Fascinated by history and cares deeply for her students and especially a certain two-tailed green Lycanroc
Relations :
- Married to Benock (and Benna by virtue of Benna being a multimanifested copy of Benock who became her own person via Ynaa shenaniganry)
- Former professor of Kthaarae's; Kthaarae was her star pupil
- Bonded with Morvala over both being teachers of Kthaarae
- Used to meet Trorse occasionally while out on archaeological expeditions
- Ame used to be a student of Skögul's and was even a Teacher's Assistant for a-couple years. Now also a cousin by marriage
- Good friends with Ynaa after meeting her thanks to Ynaa having been a co-worker and good friend of Benock's for years
Abilities :
- Growing Growth Battery -
While Skögul's base height is now 13', she does now also have the ability to temporarily push herself to larger sizes and proportions and to even make such changes to others that she is very emotionally close to (Benock, Benna, and Kthaarae currently being the only ones). This power does have limits, however, in terms of both maximum size she can achieve and for how long.
A good comparison is that Skögul has inside herself a battery of sorts that is constantly recharging and which is where she draws these abilities from. The draw from this "battery" is also proportional to the sizes she is attempting to achieve. For example, when Skögul first gained this ability she could add 10' to her height and maintain that for a day easily. Alternatively, she could push herself to the size of a planet and maintain that size for a-few seconds.
However, battery is not a perfect comparison as it combined with her ability to draw power from it is also like a muscle. The more she exercises this muscle, the stronger it becomes. As she exercises it, the capacity and recharge rate of this "battery" both increase as does her ability to draw power from it. Already a dedicated exerciser even before her growth spurt, Skögul has continued to exercise this "battery" and associated mental muscles and has over the years managed to drastically improve it with no signs of any upper limit on how far she can push it.
The daughter of a Ninetales father and Mightyena mother, Skögul inherited her passion for history, extra two tails, and a certain teasing kitsune nature from her father and her mother's strength and ambitions of self improvement and helping others to improve themselves too. Growing up, Skögul could often be found wandering around and exploring for fun. Behavior that sometimes lead her to getting in trouble, but she never let that discourage her. This passion for exploring and learning combined with her passion for history eventually lead to her becoming a professor and hands-on archaeologist at a prominent university.
On one of her archaeological expeditions, Skögul happened across a curious pink gem that glowed on its own and had a marking on it of a form that she had only just recently begun seeing here and there thanks to the new macros that had begun appearing. In spite of her caution picking up this gem from its pedestal in this room which had the odd feel of an ancient research lab, a shock like static electricity crossed from the gem to Skögul and all the power that remained within the gem went into her. She did not know at the time, but this gem was yet another small shard from Iridalea's sword that had been sent flying during her climactic battle many many thousands of years before and contained inside it a sliver of the power that Iridalea had gained from her ascension. This surge of power into Skögul pushed her natural height up to 13' from her old 7', gave her increased strength, transferred the gem's markings to her own body, and imbued in her a new ability and power. But unlike Ynaa, Kthaarae, Kyth, Avy, and others who had found similar gems, Skögul did not rise to such massive heights or gain the divinity that some of them had achieved.
Since then, Skögul has worked to acclimate to living in a world built for individuals half her size and exercising and experimenting with this new ability of hers. To her delight, it has even helped her in her archaeological work and even allowed her to pursue xeno-archaeology from time to time. All around pleased and absolutely delighted by what this gem did to her. Her only regret? Her students now tend to be rather distracted by her.
Also, thanks to her ambition to improve her ability to use that ability of hers and "growth battery", Skögul's ability to increase her size is always increasing and there is seemingly no limit. Already able to reach sizes that match and exceed divines who already outsize stars and galaxies, it can be expected that Skögul will eventually manage to reach post-universal sizes. However, even being able to reach such sizes, Skögul is only able to reach them temporarily. So despite literally godlike power available to her on a whim, she remains a mortal. A mortal who can make deities tremble in her shadow, but still a mortal.
