Fan art for an idea I got for a Sly cooper game, apocalyptic Sly =P
I just wanted to draw Sly fan art since I recently played and beat, and loved Sly 2 of the sly collection^^
but hey, what if this was a game? =P

I think it would be an interesting setting actually, like book of eli, only with sly =P
and I thought of a gritty but still cartoony sort of style to it, like borderlands, with survival elements, pickpocketing vital survival items instead of coins, platforming around on debris and destroyed environments and such, and a plot involving survival, maybe after a split up and an event that threw you out of civillization and into a gritty wasteland, and you're going around several open worlds, trying to find clues on where to go next to get home and find your friends. In the meanwhile murray and bentley is stranded too, seperate from eachother, and you play as each character trying to get back with another, tying it all together at the end =3

It's worth it, not only for sly, but for so many other exclusive games ;)
and maybe I will x3 it's kinda overdone now though, lol =P
and Sly has always had a very talented voice actor who definently fits him, I hope they get him back in the 4th game^^
the other voice actor, maybe not, bentley should've been toned down a little, the murray from the second game should come back (since the VA in 3 was so bad) and I think they should keep Carmelita's voice tonally, but replace her with a better voice actor =)

Infamous + Sly = This = resulting in: ! Since those games were made by the same company, I'd be pretty bad-ass to see the 4th one like this.
I'm hoping to get the Sly collection for X-Mas as well as a PS Move. Opted for it over the PoP collection because I already own all 3 on the Gamecube, and I've never set my Hands on the 1st Sly, only 2 and 3 (but I didn't get far into them). :P

sure, mix those together and you've got this^^
There's a teaser trailer out, and it kinda looks like a jungle like area, but the sly series have always kept it nice and varied ;)
teaser: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rSnQ8oiaDc you can see just how good it looks, the bottle collecting is back, the dark style of sly 2 looks very prominent at least here, and there's a lot I hope for in the next sly^^
the sly collection is a must buy imo, and you should definently get further into 2, it gets better the longer you go ;)
the 1st is a more linear platformer, so it didn't really appeal to me as much as the second, but when I got into the second one, damn I fell in love, it's now on the 3rd place on my top 5 games of all time, and I'm getting through sly 3 now too =3

I only borrowed 2 briefly from a friend, so I didn't play it for long. I own 3 but lent it to another friend who hasn't played a Sly game yet. I've never seen 1 in person, and on Amazon it goes for about £30+ wheras the collection is around £25+ or so, and since I wanted to play all 3 in order, it's perfect
It kinda sucks that that some of these "HD classics" boxes look so lazy (e.g: the GoW: collection being the Boxart of both games placed together, same with the upcoming Ico + Colossus collection). The EU Sly one looks quite nice though, as it looks like actual cover art and not 3 or so boxes placed together.

yea, which makes me regret that I imported it from america to get it early, but it got delayed and I got it around the same time it came out here, but for almost 50% more in price =/
I saw the box art for the american version I got, then I looked in my local game store box art, and I was like ffffffff! I get three covers smushed together lazily, and We (europe) gets Sly swinging with Carmelita Fox! >=[
the games are awesome though, especially 2, so I don't regret my purchase, though I could've made some better desitions x3

The only thing I don't like about the EU boxart, are those ugly PEGI rating logos. DX< The neon lime green of the "ages 7+" rating just looks horrendous against the mostly blue box. What was wrong with the black/white alternating colour scheme the had a few years back? Do they think we're blind or something? :/
The ESRB's "E/E10+" logo on the US Sly box seems too wide on the front, but at least it's not an ugly colour or in Australia where the logos are waaay to big and only use a little bit of the box for the description.
I prefer the BBFC logos for game boxes, personally. Crack in Time looked good with the "U" stamp, almost like an animated movie, wheas Assassin's Creed 2's "15" was very chunky and a bit of an overkill. I also love how overly cautious they are in the descriptions, e.g: AC2 described as: "contains strong, bloody violence and infrequent very strong language". That's a lot to fit into such a tiny box! XD

This is for sure the best depiction I've seen of Sly! The style bears the closest resemblance yet of raccoon commandos I've envision being in some sort of story or gameplay in the past! Very cool looking, The war was over and must be resourceful! And that is what raccoons are masters of for real!
thanks, and indeed, though I thought more about post apocalyptic in the future, after a great force destroys the world =)

same here!^^
I also love the second one to death, it's on third place of my top 5 gamea of all time =D
and yea, the boss is a pushover =I
it also amazes me how much varied stuff they cram into the sly games, and even though there are parts of them that were bad (turret sequences and the Venezia boat sequences in 3 for example) I still apprecciate how much variety they can substain in a 12 to 20 hour game ^^

I LOVE SLY COOPER! <33333!
And it's hard to find GOOD art of him, let alone breaking the boundaries of his costume and stuff, and giving him contemporary qualities
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!

SO DO I!! =DD
and thank you so much man, I'm glad you like it as much^^
and yes, I tried to give his clothing a more sandy look to them as it's in a very different environment ;)
His main features of the clothing is still there, but in another fashion; like the yellow bands around his neck and wrists, like his red backpack is still there, but tied to a diagonal belt as opposed to his thigh, and other stuff =)
and I agree dude, it's hard to find good art of him and the gang, I searched sly cooper, and I just found a lot of sly/carmelita, or them having their way with Sly =I
thanks again dude, your comment made my day^^

Only thing I hated about each one was the final boss. Neyla and doctor m especially. Good thing about games such as god of war that annoying boss you faced isn't going to be bruised up and sent to jail once you beat the crap out of them , they don't leave at all.anyway i look forward to seeing sly along with Jak and ratchet in "heroes on the move"!
the final bossfight was a dissapointment in each of the games yes, I can agree to that, especially the clockwork turret sequence fight (urgh)
I am not excited for the heroes on the move game though, I don't want to see either Ratchet or Sly shoe-horned into a halfassed attempt to push the move controller, they will of course go back to their respectable franchises, but I think the move game is going to lower their reputation a little.
As always I don't hold my final judgement until I see some gameplay, but all in all I think it's a bad idea =L

There was a multiplayer thing but it was blocked. (come on it's a demo it should have one mp segment at least!) depends if ur friend has move and the same game. I would like to see it in better hands like urself or tanidareal. I can hardly draw with a pencil neverlone a controller!
I'm really sorry for the late comment but this just looks great. Sly Cooper is one of the best games ever made and the character himself and all his friends are great too. I love your Post Apocalyptic take on Sly, his outfit looks quite cool! Really beautiful picture of the lovable raccoon. :)
