The last born of the litter of three, Ziru was a mostly relaxed, gentle hearted cub, daughter of King Kovu and Queen Kiara. One day, she played a harmless prank on her elder grandfather. Simba hadn’t been doing well. He was forgetting faces, and many of his childhood traumas were haunting him again in his final years of life. Even if it was a simple “Boo” Simba could only see a hyena’s hungry eyes, and he attacked Ziru, leaving her scarred and her right eye severally damaged.

Simba passed soon after, but it heavily affected how the poor cub grew up. Once the cubs reached adulthood, Kiara selected Ziru’s sister Asha to be queen, which she accepted. Ziru would be disappointed, and go out that night to clear her head, when she met none other than Mimba. The grand shaman sensed the yearn for a purpose in the lioness, and seeing as her forever apprentice left and went her own way, it wasn’t a problem to welcome a new one. After a few days, Ziru finally decided to become Mimba’s next disciple.

That night, Zuri came to Mimba’s caverns and after sharing dinner, she was ready to be infused with the spirit magic that Mimba was given years ago. After the pool in the cave was enchanted, Ziru have her vows, and jumped in. Minutes of being enveloped in light passed, and soon, the lioness sauntered out, her scars healed and her eyes glowing. Her belly had grown out too, holding a trio of ethereal cubs. She was now ready to head home after a brief rest, and announce her bring new path in life. Now she had the power to make the world a better place for her all those who were pure of heart.
