the gunner is blocking the first sword with his gun and if he grinds the weapon up along the blade, he can deflect a follow up stab by the second sword while having his other gun free to aim at the midsection of the swordsman.
'course it could easily turn the other way, but i think that if the gunner makes the right move, he has the advantage depicted on that image.

I'm definitely in favor of either street war or unequal fight.
However, I think unequal fight would be mroe satisfying and interesting in terms of things you could do, destruction and story line and all that jazz.
GVS would be kinda unequal unless the guy with swords was inhumanely (a hurr) good.
