I am not an animator but I thought it would be neat to at least make something to learn a little. Using Kolibriman of course. Hummingbirds have much different bone, organ and muscle structure than other birds, to the point that they can utilize forward and backward strokes by pivoting their shoulders to hover/fly for extended periods. If ya look closely at slow-mo gifs you can also see them move 180 degrees in a figure-8 shape. That being said...

I spent waaayyy too long trying to get this presentable. Stayed up til mid morning cuz my brain was not tired until I got finished and I’m still not happy with it. Can’t alter flight pattern because the slight figure 8 has to be there. And Kolibriman’s wings are more flexible than they look, which I’ve had a hard time animating because they’re not segmented like feathers are and if u look at gifs u can see the feathers push forward or backward from the force of the strokes. As well as procreate not allowing you to do 80 frames a sec- or more- which really dampens the effect. So I gave in a lil and slowed it down a bit to 30 so ppl can see the direction of the strokes a bit.

If anything uh believe that it’s anime/vidya game rules and that everything works and looks how it’s supposed to lmao.
