commented on another piece, and I was reminded that I had not uploaded this picture here. It was a request from him at a con to which I eventually got around. It was just for funzies.See, once upon a time I ginned up a kind of mytho-Hellenistic society of Amazonian/Atlantian lemur girls, who lived (naturally enough) in Lemuria, and did a little folio with them and a short comic story called "Tythos and the Nymph." I still get requests for them now and then.
This one is out hunting, and since Wolf requested it, that's her motif. I don't even know if he's ever seen it, actually. Hope you like it, Wolf!

Wow, Joe, when you fill a request you really fill a request! Inked and zip-toned? I have to agree with the first commenter, it really does have a cool dark "epic" feel to it like the early B.W. Smith Conan comics. She's not so much "cute" or "heroic" as the more Romanesque Lemurians and more handsome/beautiful. If she promises not to hurt me too bad, I will happily let her catch me.
Well, zips are actually really easy on computer -- way easier than they ever were back when Zip-A-Tone™ existed. I don't miss those sticky old sheets at all.
Sometimes I come up with a story for a picture while I'm working on it, but for this one I just had a mood I was working toward. Glad you like it!

Radio Comix has/had two CDs of computer tones and speed-lines (I have them somewhere), which were good for that. I also had, at one point, a link to an online tutorial on how to make your own tones in Photoshop, that emulated zip-o-tone.. I'll see if I can find it, but you should be able to locate similar ones on Google.
I still have my copy of that portfolio.
Really nice pic.
Joe,have you ever drawn a badger babe?
I don't remember ever seeing one from you.
Genet girls either, now that I think on it.
I've started using badgers as the basis for a fantasy world dwarf race-they work remarkably well, though I don't make them quite as short as a traditional dwarf.
(About 4'9" is what they seem to scale out to.)

Since you ask, the ex-girlfriend of Mark (from the Mark & Deni stories in Genus) was supposed to be a badger, and I ginned up her designs. She was only supposed to show up in flashbacks, because she was psychotic. But she was fairly hot-looking!
Man, every time I respond to one of these comments it makes me think of something else I never finished and/or uploaded. I need to upload more, or stop answering questions. :D
