First off, thank you for the 5k watches. While I'll post the usual milestone lewd eventually, I wanted to make this little art progress in addition. Last time I really did one was after only 1 year of cat drawing, though you can still find it if you search hard enough (or use this link: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/25792955/)
In retrospect, the one thing I found especially interesting was how I slowly phased out of my initial way of drawing eyes too tall in roughly 3 years when I looked through my old pictures. Best example was between the first Noki picture (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/25013032/) and the revisit around year 3 (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/36255660/).
I hope you find some inspiration in this too. After all, if it took me 5 years to get here from where I started, you should be able to do it in no time!

I wish I could say I had some rigid method I follow, but I feel like I just draw stuff and little improvements happen naturally. Sometimes I read up on some tutorials or look for cool references from better artists for inspiration, but best advice I can give is to draw regularly (I seem to average almost 2 pictures per week) and challenge yourself to draw something you specifically need practice in or want to improve on.
It really only took you 2 years. The rest was just continued from your peak.
A talented artist once told me that I can’t draw in other styles because everyone is born pre-wired with a specific artstyle that you can’t break away from. Seems he was right
I was still producing nothing but sewage at the first year and still am. It takes lots of inborn Asian and/or Latino genetics to be like you

I'd hardly call my peak at year 2, maybe year 4, but I do agree I started to find my style around that and been refining it since around that time.
Not sure about the pre-wired artstyle thing, since I've seen plenty of artists who can flip-flop between more realistic and more abstract styles easily. You cannot of course replicate 1-to-1 someone else's style on a whim, but you can definitely steer your style to different directions even by changing what art medium you use.
To be fair it might be unfair to say that I have only drawn 5 years and gotten this sort of results. I've been doodling and drawing casually in my school notebooks since I started elementary school, so I knew a bit how to hold a pen beforehand. More accurately I started to seriously study and practice fundamentals 5 years ago. I hardly doubt my Finnish genes would have gotten me here if I had not concentrated on improving as much.
Don't let my or anyone else's progress deter you from drawing. It helps to accept the first few years will not be the best art you will ever produce, but keep practicing stuff you struggle with, try different art styles and mediums, have a routine and you will see results.
