Recently, the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum featured an exhibit called “Turn it up to 90!” which honored the 90th anniversary of the electric guitar’s Wichita world debut.
Among the instruments on display was this custom made guitar played by blues guitarist Berry Harris and built in 1985 by an unknown Wichita luthier. There wasn’t much detail on the placard about the guitar itself, but it looks like it was wired for stereo outputs.

I love the word 'luthier'. I just learned that one of my favorite garage/surf band guitarists is also a luthier. Former Pollo Del Mar leader Ferenc Dobronyi, currently of Frankie and the Pool Boys teaches shop at a high school in California -- and that's one of his classes.
