Here's some posing AND background practice that accidentally turned into a remake of an earlier Ariella drawing I wasn't satisfied with.

I really like how cool Ari's design has become compared to her original design, which was also strong for my skill level at the time but unfortunately pretty forgettable as well. Maybe this is my lack of opportunity for regular practice talking, but it feels like good design is essential for pressing through the effort of making new character art.
I enjoy polishing up sketches way more than they have any right to be, haha
