Another two characters from the story I am working on.

Mallory is the Talon's communications officer. Mal is not a nice girl. While she is nice and friendly when it is convenient, she is actually arrogant and full of herself, and mean to those she sees as inferior to her. She is very proud of her looks, considering herself some sort of a beauty queen; mind you, she is very good looking. She also knows how to use her good looks and sweet talk to get what she wants. Though as a communications officer, she actually does a fairly good job. :B She is also sort-of in league with another crew member, Carli; together, they torment some of the other female crew members and Kory.

Kory is one of the security officers of the Talon. While physically up to the job, he is gentle, naive, kinda gullible and reserved. He has a crush on his superior, Derek, but his timid nature stops him from openly act on his feelings, and his occasional bashful advances go right over Derek's head anyway. He often becomes a target for Mal and Carli's teasing, or Jade's, the ship's computer specialist's, pranks. Still, he is well liked by most of the crew, and his marksmanship makes him a valuable asset to them.
