Don't confuse:「狼」(ōkami) it's the animal, 『大神』(Ōkami) it's the video game.

I honestly wanted to see more of Oki and Ammy in the game itself, but sadly there were a lot of good ideas that Clover Studios had for the game that never got into fruition because of Clover's bankruptcy (look up the manga concepts for the game that was sketched out sometime in the very late-90's.) and Capcom taking over wanting to rush an unfinished game out onto the market that they also really didn't know what to do with.

Dang. this was unfinished??! Now that you mentioned it there were a couple of things here or there i can tell seem a bit unpolished, but it seemed pretty complete to me! ah well. I was also hopeful to see Oki again in Okamiden or if he had an offspring but he never showed up to my disappointment. Oki was by far my favorite in the entire game (which was no easy task, loads of characters are great in this game) and the scene where he and Ammy howled together after that certain boss was cute and as close as it was gonna get.
