So my fursona Lani has had his snazzy WeGS (Wantael Island Royal Guards) uniform for quite a few years now, but no headgear to go with it. I thought well, he already has antlers so.
But recently DWC Marshall (@Infurnationale on Twitter) posted a refsheet of some cool dress uniforms and headgear from his setting and I thought, why not give it a try! Also added white silk gloves for added dapperness.
So I settled on a 19th century style kepi with chin strap, not too dissimilar to the McClellan caps from the American Civil War.
Front plate displays the national symbol of Wantael Island.
The horn-like decorative bronze pieces on the sides are actually... octopus tentacles. Yup. Alluding to one of the physical forms of Ocean god Welfa: an island-sized kraken.
Yeah, Welfa can (and will) hit fast and hard. Good but not nice.
Last point is that Lani will have to remove his antlers to wear that stuff. Well, there's a trade off to everything I suppose! As long as he looks sharp.
UPDATE: Added Lani's name in the Common Tawa script.

Art by myself,
