As Tails and Sonic walked, Tails began to think a lot about the people they were going to meet. When he had last seen Cream, he had only been about a foot taller than her, if even that. Now had slightly surpassed Sonic in height, ever so slightly.

What did Cream and Amy look like? That question hounded him for the entire journey. In fact, he wondered what had changed while he was gone. His workshop was going to need so much work. The dust alone would take days at least. It had been over ten years since they left, give or take two due to some temporal shenanigans they came across. Either way there was bound to be a lot of changes.

What Tails failed to notice as they walked was the approaching figure. Sonic whistled in his observation, giving Tails the old elbow to let him know someone was here. Tails focused his eyes forward and everything stopped.

The creature before him was not anyone he would've recognized had it not been for her face. That face belonged to his childhood friend, but that body belonged to a grown woman. The beauty before Tails was unlike any he had seen over the last ten or so years. It was Cream, there was no mistaking it. However, the sheer beauty and maturity that emanated off of this woman made Tails shut down mentally, only able to gaze upon Aphrodite as she stood before him in the form of Cream the Rabbit.

On Creams part, bless her heart, the handsome man before him did not shatter the poise and composure that her mother had taught her. Instead, the unresponsiveness of her childhood friend concerned her. Even after Sonic made a second observation and gave his best bud another elbow nudge. Cream had seen this before; bachelors could not deny that she looked as perfect as a picture and carried herself masterfully. Now that her best friend displayed such a reaction, Cream could not stop a bit of warmth coming to her face.

Time had passed for these two young children. Maturity had come upon them in different ways. Now that they meet again in adulthood, a new journey was sure to begin. Let it always be remembered, the moment captured in Reunion.

I've always wondered what it would look like if Sonic and Tails left to fight evil for a long time. Upon their return they would find their friends all grown up. Bless Cream and her concern, like mother like daughter.
