The Hydra is a vicious, multiheaded dragon relative, with a tough scaly hide and ravenous appetite and the uncanny ability to regrow its heads once cut, unless one cuts off the larger middle head.

The deep sea hydra lived in the lightless abyssal depths, where it hunts massive squids,octopi and what ever else might finds its self to close to one of its snapping jaws. It can flash its anglers with a blinding light.
