Seems like they would be a very interesting species to come across.
Have to ask though, is there any way at all to prevent the endless attraction?
Like those affected by accident or such needing to live in a colder location to reduce the effects?
Or is it a sort of "fatal" attraction, no way to even try resisting it?

So far, the attraction seems to be fatal. It was an evolutionary mechanism in the earlier days of the species to ensure that a female could keep producing babies, and it's still quite powerful. No one has come across a way to reverse the attraction yet -- then again, the majority of Mortunians are responsible women, so it doesn't come up often.
